ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak appeared on the Tuck and O'Neill radio show Thursday, to discuss her playing days, Olympics, and UCF Soccer.
Roberts Sahaydak was a member of the 1996 U.S. Women's Olympic team that won gold in the Olympics in Athens, Ga. It was the first year women's soccer was added to the games and this years Olympics in Rio mark the 20th anniversary of that historic event.
"Being an Olympian was a dream of mine since I was in second grade," Roberts Sahaydak said. "To win a gold medal at home in the U.S. really was a dream come true."
The Knights will host an exhibition match Thursday, Aug. 11 at 7:00 p.m against Miami. The match is free for fans and will feature a meet and greet with the team after the final whistle.
