ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- Two former Knights had a great week on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) at the end of June.
Kyle Wilshire and Brad Schneider, who both played for the Knights under head coach Bryce Wallor, had very similar experiences at the SIGA Dakota Dunes Open in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan last week. The duo tied for fourth and were both -16 for the tournament.
Wilshire started a bit stronger, firing a 3-under 69 in the first round. Schneider opened with a 70. Wilshire carded a 6-under 66 in the second round, while Schneider was 4-under at 68. Schneider finished strong, turning in a 66 and 68 to wrap up at 272 (-16). Meanwhile, Wilshire finished with a 68 and 69 to be sub-70 in all four rounds.
It was Wilshire's third Top 10 finish on the Mackenzie Tour adn his first this season. For Schneider it was his first-ever Top 10 finish on the Mackenzie Tour.
