Rudd holds or shares seven school records that he set nearly 25 seasons ago ... included in those are the single-season record for tackles with 150, which he set in 1983 when the Knights posted a five-game turnaround from a winless 1982 season ... still ranks fourth on the UCF career charts with 347 total tackles ... tied the school-record for sacks in a game with five in a thrilling 35-34 victory over Western Kentucky in 1984 ... also owns the school records for sacks in a season (19.5 in 1984) and career (31.5) ... holds all the records for fumbles recovered, which include in a game (3 vs. West Georgia in 1982), a season (6, 1982) and a career (11, 1981-84) ... his 18 tackles for loss in 1984 were the sixth-highest single season total in school history ... recorded 56.5 career tackles for loss, second-most at UCF ... led the team in tackles in 1983 and 1984 as well as in sacks from 1982-84 - one of only two Knights in school-history to lead the team in sacks in three-consecutive seasons ... in 2004, earned an honorable mention spot on the Orlando Sentinel's Silver Anniversary UCF Football Team ... played three seasons at Northmont (Ohio) High School for head coach Ned Booher ... combined record for those three seasons was 28-1-1, including two undefeated seasons that led to league championships ... earned All-League and All-Dayton Area second team honors during his high school football career ... enshrined as a charter member into the Northmont High School Hall of Fame in 1996 ... also earned two letters in baseball.
