16-17 Schedule Announced

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) - UCF head women's golf coach Emily Marron has announced the Knights' schedule for the 2016-17 season.

UCF's fall schedule features four tournaments, including the ANNIKA Invitational. The season opens Sept. 16-18 in Nashville, Tenn. at the Mason Rudolph Championship.

Then, the Knights will have the opportunity to play in one of the most talented fields in collegiate women's golf and they'll get to do it right in their own back yard. The ANNIKA Invitational, scheduled for Sept. 25-27, is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year and is held in Kissimmee at Reunion Golf Club.

The fall portion of the schedule concludes in October with the Cougar Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 4; Charleston, S.C.) and the Landfall Tradition (Oct. 28-30; Wilmington, N.C.).

The spring season kicks off Jan. 30 with the Florida Challenge in Lecanto, Fla. at Black Diamond Golf Club. The Knights then host their annual UCF Challenge Feb. 5-7 at Eagle Creek Golf Club. February wraps up with a trip to New Orleans for the All State Sugar Bowl Invitational.

UCF keeps the competition in-state to open March, taking part in the Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville March 4-5. The Bryan National in Greensboro, N.C. will take place March 31-April 2 and will be the final tune-up event before the postseason begins.

UCF will once again host the American Athletic Conference Championship at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast on April 16-18. However, this year's championship moves from the Ocean Course to the Conservatory Course. NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championship play following May.
