ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- UCF sophomore Manuel Elvira was one of 45 individuals selected to take part in the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional Championships May 16-18. Those individuals, along with 81 teams, will be vying for the opportunity to advance to the NCAA Championship, set for May 27-June 1 in Eugene, Ore.
Elvira will be playing at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. in a tournament hosted by the University of Alabama.
There are six regional tournaments being played. The five lowest team scores and the lowest individual score not from one of the advancing teams will move on to the finals.
