JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track & field program had a rough Friday at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Florida. In all three individual events, the Knights failed to advance to the next round.

Sophomore Rosie Chamberlain just missed on qualifying for the NCAA Championships, finishing 17th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.82. Her time was eighth in her heat and missed qualifying on her time by just one second.
SheKara Martin did not finish in the 100-meter dash, due to a tight hamstring, and she did not run the 200-meter dash quarterfinals.
Senior Briana Vaughn did run in the 200-meter dash and clocked a time of 24.23, respectively.
FINAL DAY
The Knights closeout the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Saturday with a handful of events. Freshman Jhane' Carter competes in the shot put, while Anne-Marie Blaney, who qualified for the NCAA Championships Thursday night in the 10,000m, competes in the 5,000-meter run. UCF also will run in the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays.
