STORRS, Conn. (UCFKnights.com) - The Knights held an 8-6 lead entering the bottom of the eighth inning, but for the second time in as many days, UConn rallied for a come-back victory. The Huskies behind a nine-run frame posted a 15-8 win Saturday at J.O. Christian Field.

UCF (25-27, 8-12 The American) jumped out to a 6-0 advantage after the top of the fifth inning. Junior Sam Tolleson notched a two-run double to put the Knights on the board in the third frame, while runs were also driven in by juniors Austin Griffin and Eli Putnam (2).

After UConn (28-22, 10-9 The American) cut the Knights' lead to 6-3 in the bottom-half, Griffin, who went 3-for-4, doubled down the left field line and scored on a sac fly by junior Ryan Crile. The second base hit of the game by junior Brennan Bozeman provided the Knights with an 8-3 advantage.

The Huskies scored three times in the sixth frame and registered nine runs in the eighth frame to complete their come-from-behind victory.
