UCF multi-event competitor Kayla Pritchett finished ninth in the heptathlon at the 107th running of the Drake Relays. The junior utilized three personal-records on Thursday to score 4,557 points in her first-ever heptathlon.

LONG JUMP
Pritchett started Day Two off with the biggest outdoor mark in the long jump, soaring 17-0/5.18m. The mark earned ninth place and improved her point total by 609 points.

JAVELIN
Big points were made up in the javelin, hurling the implement a career-best distance of 102-4.75/31.21m to finish sixth in the event. Her mark added 500 points to her heptathlon score.

800-METER RUN
Pritchett capped off her first heptathlon with a time of 2:24.34 in her first collegiate 800-meter run, earning sixth overall and tallying 766 points.

NEXT UP
The Knights return to action on Wednesday, May 4 for the East Region Preview in Jacksonville, Florida. The one-day meet will serve as a tune-up for UCF before hosting the 2016 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the UCF Track & Field Complex.
