UCF track & field multi-eventer Kayla Pritchett completed Day One of the heptathlon at the 107th running of the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday. The heptathlon is Pritchett's first of her career, and she accumulated a first day score of 2,682 points.

100-METER HURDLES
Pritchett started the heptathlon with a time of 15.53 in the 100-meter hurdles, which was less than fourth-tenths of a second off her personal best. Her time garnered 773 points towards her multi-event score.
HIGH JUMP
The junior had a solid performance in the high jump, clearing 4-9/1.45m to earn 566 points, which is her second best this year.
SHOT PUT
In the final field event of the day, Pritchett hurled the shot 32-3/9.83m to earn 518 points.
200-METER DASH
Pritchett took seventh overall the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.68. Her time grabbed her 825 points in the final event of the day.
NEXT UP
Pritchett will close out her first heptathlon on Thursday with the final three events of the competition: long jump, javelin and the 800-meter run. She will compete in the long jump at 11:30 p.m. ET.
