The UCF track & field program got the weekend off with a bang, competing at three meets on Friday night across the nation.

JESSE OWENS INVITATIONAL
Anne-Marie Blaney won the 5,000-meter run with a new school record time of 16:07.37 and also set a new meet record for the Jesse Owens Invitational. Blaney's new career-best time also ranks top 30 in the nation.
TOM JONES MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
Paige Byrnes led the way in Gainesville, Florida, earning a fourth-place finish in the pole vault at the Tom Memorial Invitational with a clearance of 11-11.75/3.65m. Briana Potter followed suit, taking fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 38-2.75/11.65m.
U.S. OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER MEET
Transfer Chelsea Gobourne grabbed the Knights' top finish at in Chula Vista, California, on Thursday night, taking the runner-up position in the hammer throw with a hurl of 188-11/57.58m. Kalen Hambrick and Tayla Greene followed suit finishing third and fourth, respectively.
