PALM COAST, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Round two of the American Athletic Conference Championship once again featured gusting winds, but this time added a mix of sun at Hammock Beach Resort's Ocean Course.

Junior Ashley Holder fired a two-under par (70) and climbed five spots where she now sits alone atop the individual leaderboard at +1 for the tournament.

Holder was two under through her first six holes but added bogies on holes seven and nine. She bounced back however, shooting a bogey-free back nine, pouring in birdies on the par-four 13th and again on the par-four 18th.

Holder will take a one-shot lead into Tuesday's final round with SMU's Jenny Haglund in a close second and USF's Nicole Autrique two shots back in third.

Junior Ayaka Nakayama remained in the top 10 firing a +4 (76). Nakayama is now tied for seventh among individuals.

Junior Johanna Larsson shot +5 (77) to remain in the top 20 while freshman Erica Stoner and senior Mary Mulcahy each shot 86 (+14).

Houston (+28) jumped six spots to take the team lead thanks to three players carding rounds under par. The Cougars now hold a five-shot lead over USF (+33) and a six-shot lead over third place East Carolina (+34). UCF (+44) fell three spots to sixth.

The Final round is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. EST Tuesday at Hammock Beach Resort's Ocean Course in Palm Coast, Fla. Click here to follow Holder and the Knights via live scoring.
