STORRS, Conn. (UCFKnights.com) – Due to inclement weather, the final two games between UCF and UConn have been cancelled.
Heavy rain postponed Saturday’s doubleheader, but Sunday’s weather forced the teams to cancels the remaining two games.
The Knights opened American Athletic Conference action on Friday, topping the Huskies 1-0. Head coach Renee Luers-Gillispie collected the 800th win of her career.
UCF returns to action on Wednesday, hosting No. 1 Florida at the UCF Softball Complex. Due to high pre-sales demand, ticket sales for the game have been suspended. It is possible that additional tickets may be available at the gate once the game is underway.
The Knights and Gators are set for a 6 p.m. start, and UCF State of Florida t-shirts will be given to the first 150 fans. UCF football head coach Scott Frost will throw out the first pitch.
