ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Saturday was moving day as the Knights climbed two spots to 11th at the Bryan National Collegiate. Juniors Ayaka Nakayama and Ashley Holder led the way for UCF.
Holder and Nakayama each carded matching rounds of even-par 72. Holder notched two birdies on the day while Nakayama had three birdies, playing her first nine holes at a flawless -2. Nakayama is now tied for 9th among individuals heading into Sunday's final round.
Senior Mary Mulcahy fired a +4 (76) while Freshman Dree Fausnaugh bounced back with an 81 (+9) and Junior Johanna Larsson carded an 83 (+11).
In team play, Virginia (+8) held the lead but Florida state (+13) climbed to within 5 shots. Wake Forest (+19) is third while South Carolina (+20) fell to fourth and Kentucky (+23) is now fifth.
