CORVALIS, Ore. - The UCF rowing team raced twice on Saturday at the Fourth Annual Oregon State Classic at Dexter Lake.
In the morning session, the Second Varsity Four, consisting of Erica Jimenez, Shannon Perry, Vitoria Artmann, Rachel Rabinowitz and Danielle Taylor, opened the day with a third-place finish.
The Varsity Four, consisting of Kristen Taylor, Lauren Wasko, Anna Mahoney, Grace Lindberg and Sarah Gordon, followed with a third place finish in UCF's second event of the day.
UCF's Second Varsity Eight, consisting of Catherine Harms, Edvina Nesukaityte, Jasmine Blais, Dani Burton, Erin Corrigan, Aly Derksen, Julia Chase, Rachael Klunder and Leonie Hamel, gave the Knights a trio of third place finishes in the morning session.
The Varsity Eight boat, consisting of Olivia Hecimovich, Lauren Aiello, Zana Krakic, Ivana Krkljus, Ashleigh Boyd, Marija Medelinskaite, Olivia Staples, Alison Ponce and Viktorija Senkute rounded out the morning's races with a third place finish, giving the Black and Gold four total in the morning round.
Following the same order in the afternoon session, the teams lined up five-across in all four events. The Second Varsity Four collected a fourth place finish, as did the Varsity Four. The Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight each placed fifth to close out the day.
The Knights return to the East Coast for the two-day Clemson Invite, starting April 16.
