TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF junior infielder Austin Griffin drove in all four runs on two homers to left field and put the Knights up, 4-3, Wednesday on a three-run shot in the eighth inning. No. 10 FSU knotted the contest in the bottom of the frame and eventually walked off in the 11th inning on a one-out single by Taylor Walls, 5-4, following a double from Matt Henderson.

UCF (12-11) loaded the bases in the top of the 11th frame with two outs on a walk, catcher's inference and hit batter, but was unable to plate the go-ahead run at Dick Howser Stadium.

The Knights saw a trio of pitchers provide strong outings at FSU (17-5). Junior Trent Thompson started and yielded a single run, while fanning two over two frames. A career-high 4 2/3 inning performance by freshman Bryce Tucker included four blank stanzas, while senior Harrison Hukari finished the game by recording 2 2/3 innings, three strikeouts and worked out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth inning.

The Knights return home on Friday to start a three-game set against Cornell at 6:30 p.m. The Saturday contest against the Big Red features Pink at the Park with 200 tank tops being given away and the first pitch is slated for 4 p.m.

Blanks by Bryce

  • Freshman lefty Bryce Tucker put up four zeroes for UCF in 4 2/3 frames.
  • He allowed only three hits and one earned run, which was a solo homer.
  • The Apopka, Fla., native walked just one and recorded nine fly outs and three ground outs.

Going, Going Gone for Griffin

  • Junior third baseman Austin Griffin tied the contest, 1-1, in the third and put the Knights ahead 4-3 in the eighth inning on round trippers.
  • Both blasts landed over the wall in left field.
  • The seven homers on the season are a conference and team high.

Corso Makes Debut

  • Freshman Jake Corso made his first appearance as a Knight with a start at DH.
  • The Lake Mary, Fla., native registered a single to left in his first-career plate appearance during the second inning.
  • He was also plunked by pitches the fourth and 11th frames.

Noting the Seminoles

  • Dylan Busby broke the 1-1 tie to lead off the seventh inning with a solo homer down the left field line to start a two-run frame.
  • The victory was given to Chase Haney (3-0), who struck out the only batter he faced.
  • Three innings of relief and five strikeouts were recorded by Tyler Warmouth.
