WACO, Texas (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF softball team held No. 20 Baylor scoreless for four innings, but a three-run fifth inning lifted the Lady Bears to a 3-0 victory at Getterman Stadium on Sunday.

UCF (21-13) kept Baylor off the scoreboard in the first and second innings, and retired the Lady Bears in order in the third and fourth innings.

Junior Linnea Goodman opened the fourth inning with the first hit of the game, a single through the right side. A sacrifice bunt from junior Brittany Solis moved Goodman to second, but Baylor collected the third out before the Knights could plate the run.

Junior Willow Kalinen collected UCF's second hit of the game in the top of the fifth, but was unable to move around the bases.

The Lady Bears broke up senior Shelby Turnier's no-hit bid in the fifth inning with a one-out double to left field. A pair of walks loaded the bases, and a hit batter walked in the first run of the game for the Lady Bears. An RBI single up the middle scored a pair of runners to extend the lead to 3-0.

Shelby Turnier tossed a complete game for the Knights, allowing just two hits with a pair of strikeouts.

The Knights return to the UCF Softball Complex on Tuesday, hosting Kent State at 5:30 p.m. UCF hosts Georgia Tech at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
