ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF extended its winning streak to four matches with a 7-0 victory over Cleveland State on Wednesday morning. The Knights captured all eight matches -- two doubles and six singles -- that were finished at the UCF Tennis Complex.

In the doubles competition, UCF (8-4) opened up with a 6-1 win at No. 2 by senior Caroline Eberhart and sophomore Emilia Granstrom. Junior Cortney Cesarini and Matias partnered up to deliver a 6-1 victory at No. 3 to secure the first point of the match.
Singles play opened up with senior Sofia Baptista blanking her opponent at No. 2, 6-0, 6-0. The Knights took a 3-0 advantage in the contest when Cesarini at No. 4 notched a pair of 6-1 wins.
The match was clinched at No. 3 by Matias, who recorded a 6-2, 6-2 triumph to provide the Knights with their decisive fourth point. UCF kept rolling with freshman Natalia Serrano closing out her foe, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 5.
The lead stretched to 6-0 as freshman Diana Dehterevich at No. 6 recorded a 6-3, 6-4 victory. Senior Caroline Eberhart completed the sweep for the Knights with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 1.
Senior Clare Mendell posted a 6-0, 6-4 triumph in an exhibition match.
The Knights continue their 14-match homestand on Thursday with a 2 p.m. contest against Albany. A three-match week concludes for UCF against Syracuse at noon Saturday.
