Anne-Marie Blaney shined at the Crimson Elite on Friday, breaking her own UCF track & field record in the mile. The junior distance runner highlighted a meet that saw the Knights acquire 12 top-five finishes and 14 personal records.

Just over a year after setting the Knights' school record in the mile, Blaney stride across the finish with a time of 4:49.50, improving her own school record by over six seconds. Her career-best time also earned her the individual title in the mile, running seven seconds faster than the runner-up.
BLAZIN' BELLAMY
J'Nea Bellamy was a blur on Friday, running a new personal record of 7.36 in the 60-meter dash. Her career-best time is now the fourth fastest in UCF history. The junior also clocked in at 7.41 in the prelims, which topped her previous best by one hundredth of a second.
THROWS IMPRESS
The Knights' throwing group impressed on Friday, snatching five of UCF's 12 top-five finishes. Tara Daniels and Jhane' Carter finished second and third in the shot put, while Kalen Hambrick was the runner-up in the weight throw with Carter and Daniels finishing fourth and fifth. Daniels set a pair of personal bests throwing 48-8.25/14.84m in the shot and 57-11.75/17.67m in the weight.
CHAMBERLAIN GOES SHORT
Rosie Chamberlain, who has made her mark in the 800-meter run by setting the Knights' school record, dropped down to the 400-meter dash at the Crimson Elite and grabbed first place with a time of 57-seconds even. It was the first 400 of her career and serves as the top time this year for the Black & Gold.
NEXT UP
UCF jumps right back in to action in Beantown, competing at the Scarlet & Gold Invitational. The meet is being hosted by Boston University and is slated to begin at 11 a.m. with the prelims for the 60-meter hurdles.
