UCF men's basketball struggled to keep pace with a hot-shooting Houston squad on Wednesday night, falling 88-61 at CFE Arena.

Following a dunk by Staphon Blair, the Knights had the game in check with 6:55 remaining in the first half, leading the Cougars 22-21, but all would change following UH's timeout. Houston answered the Blair's big dunk by going on a 16-3 run to close out the half and take a 12-point lead into the locker room.
UCF continued to struggle in the second, allowing Houston to shoot 60 percent from the floor and 70 from behind the arc. With UH having the hot hand, the Knights were unable to close the gap, falling 88-61.
LANDING ON CHANCE
- Chance McSpadden had an all-around good game, scoring a team-high 15 points, dishing out a career-high seven assists and grabbing five rebounds.
- Thirteen of McSpadden's points came in the second half.

- Tacko Fall recorded two blocks on Wednesday to move into a tie with Paul Reed (2000-01) for seventh in UCF single-season history with 56.
- The freshman is now three away from sharing fourth place with a trio of former Knights: Keith Clanton (2011-12), Tom Herzog (2010-11) and Isaac McKinnon (1983-84).
