ORLANDO, Fla (UCFKnights.com) - Sophomore Monica Matias notched the Knights lone victory in a 6-1 loss at No. 34 Tulsa on Sunday morning. The contest was played inside the Case Tennis Center.

The Knights fell to 3-3 on the campaign after its first American Athletic match, while Tulsa improved to 10-1 and 1-0 in the league.
Matias played the No. 5 position and secured a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Yelena Nemchen. The Moca, Puerto Rico, native improved to 4-1 in singles play.
Unbeaten streaks to start the season for sophomore Emilia Granstrom and Sofia Baptista came to an end in the sixth match of the campaign.
The Knights return home to begin a stretch of 14-straight matches at the UCF Tennis Complex on Friday with a 2 p.m. contest vs. Mercer.
