ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's golf team is now tied for tenth after dropping one spot in the UCF Challenge Monday.

Course conditions improved in round two at Eagle Creek Golf Club as UCF tallied a dozen total birdies but was unable to capitalize on enough of its scoring opportunities. The squad shot a combined seven-over par, 11 shots better than day one.

Junior Ashley Holder matched her opening round of 73 (+1) and remains in the hunt among individuals. She is tied for 11th, just five shots off the pace heading into the final round.

Fellow junior Ayaka Nakayama also turned in a 73 (+1) and is tied for 22nd. Freshman Dree Fausnaugh notched a 74 (+2) and senior Mary Mulcahy carded a 75 (+3).

Junior Johanna Larsson shot 81 (+9) while freshman Erica Stoner shot 84 (+12) playing as an individual.

In team play, Missouri carded three rounds below par, rising two spots to take the tournament lead (+8). Tulane jumped up four spots into second (+11) while Iowa State held its ground and remains third (+12).

Missouri's Michelle Butler remains atop the individual leaderboard tied with East Carolina's Frida Gustafsson Spang at -3 (141). Butler holed out from the fairway for eagle on the par-5 18th to maintain a share of the lead while Spang climbed seven spots to grab a share of the lead.
