ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After a tough 4-3 loss on Saturday, UCF rebounded Sunday by taking six singles and two doubles matches for a 7-0 win at Florida Atlantic. Sophomore Monica Matias clinched the victory for the Knights at the FAU Tennis Courts.

The Knights (3-1) won convincingly in the doubles competition. The pairing of senior Sofia Baptista and sophomore Emilia Granstrom delivered a 6-2 win at No. 1, while senior Caroline Eberhart and Matias teamed up to blank their FAU (2-3) foe, 6-0, at No. 3.
Sophomore Cortney Cesarini at No. 4 registered the first singles victory, 6-1, 6-3. A 6-0, 6-1 triumph was notched by Granstrom, who moved to a perfect 4-0 at No. 3.
The fourth point, which secured the match, was recorded at No. 6 by Matias with a 6-1, 6-4 win. Freshman Natalia Serrano cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 5.
The Knights posted their sixth point when Eberhart at No. 1 downed her Owls' opponent, 6-3, 6-3. Baptista kept her unblemished start to the season in tact by taking a third-set supertiebreaker, 10-6, to provide UCF with a 7-0 win.
UCF hosts North Florida on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex.
