The UCF track & field program capped off a successful weekend in Boston, Massachusetts, with 14 new personal records and 13 top-five finishes at the Scarlet and White Invitational. Freshman Jhane' Carter was the lone Knight to win an individual event, finishing first in the shot put and re-breaking her own UCF freshman record.

The Knights also won the one-day meet, scoring 79 points to defeat the field of 26. Jacksonville finished second with 71 points, while Northeastern came in third with 59.

CARTER LEADS THROWERS
Freshman thrower Jhane' Carter grabbed the lone event title for the Knights, winning the shot put with a new personal best of 50-9.75/15.49m. Her toss topped Tara Daniels, who claimed second with a career best of 49-10/15.19m, and broke her own UCF freshman record by over one and a half feet.

Carter also finished sixth in the weight throw, but Kalen Hambrick was the Black & Gold's top performer in the weight, taking third with a hurl of 63-1/19.23m. Tayla Greene snatched fourth with a new personal record of 59-7.75/18.18m.

BLAZIN' BELLAMY, PART II
After setting a new personal best in the 60-meter dash last night, J'Nea Bellamy sprinted to a new career best in the 200-meter dash on Saturday, crossing the line at 23.78 and finishing second overall. The junior ran eight hundredths of a second faster than her previous best time and her time remains the fifth fastest in UCF history.

NEXT UP
The Knights head to Nashville, Tennessee, next weekend for the Music City Challenge, which will be UCF's final meet before the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 28-29.
