MEMPHIS, Tenn. (UCFKnights.com) -- Two quarters went to UCF and two quarters went to Memphis, but the Tigers came out on top in the UCF women's basketball team's 75-59 loss on the road Wednesday.

The Knights got the better of their opponent in the second and fourth quarters, but Memphis capitalized when it counted by converting 59.6 percent from the field.

The Knights started to put a rally together when they cut a once 22-point deficit to 43-35 thanks to an 18-4 run that carried over from the second quarter. Ashley Polacek and Zykira Lewis netted back-to-back 3-pointers, but Memphis rattled off a quick 5 points and the deficit never dipped below double digits again.

Lewis finished with a team high 16 points, and sophomore Aliyah Gregory closed out the game with UCF's final six points to cap her 12 for the night. Forward Joslyn Massey fell just shy of a double-double with 9 points and a game-high 9 rebounds.
