In just the second meet of the 2016 season, records were falling at the Joe Donahue Games as they UCF track & field team coasted to a team victory. Rosie Chamberlain set a new school and meet record in the 800-meter run, while Briana Vaughn and Kalen Hambrick set meet records.

The Knights dominated the Joe Donahue Games, grabbing six event titles and 16 top-three finishes. The Black & Gold accumulated 154 total points, nearly 50 more than Northeastern, who finished second with 105.5.
CHAMBERLAIN CONQUERS
Chamberlain broke the Knights' school record in the 800, clocking at 2:08.03. The sophomore's time tops Erica Winston's previous record of 2:08.50, which was set in 2014. Entering this weekend, Chamberlain was ranked fifth nationally in the 800m with a previous personal best of 2:08.84, which she ran last weekend at the Kentucky Invitational.
STACKING THE SPRINTS
UCF showed its strength in the sprints by taking first through third in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. Vaughn was the champion in each race, running 7.47 in the 60m and 24.13 in the 200m, which was a meet record. J'Nea Bellamy and Ashley Jocelyn grabbed second and third in both races.
THROWING WITH POWER
The Knights also impressed in the throws, taking first and second in the shot put and weight throw. Tara Daniels won the shot put with a hurl of 48-1.25/14.66m, while Jhane' Carter took second at 47-0.25/14.33m.
Hambrick set a meet record in the weight throw, tossing the implement 65-1.5/19.85m for first place. Carter also set a record as she broke the Knights' freshman record with a throw of 60-2/18.34m.
BLANEY TAKES FIRST
Anne-Marie Blaney continues her dominance in the 3,000-meter run, winning the race with a time of 9:37.47. Her time, which is a season best, puts her top 25 in the nation and second in the American Athletic Conference by just four seconds.
