LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - With an electrifying crowd at the HP Fieldhouse at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the UCF Cheerleading team dazzled the standing-room only crowd at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. The standout performance clinched one of the top spots in the finals for the College Cheerleading National Championships.

The Knights are slated to take the floor at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with fifteen teams set to complete. The Knights have registered 10-straight top-four finishes, which includes runner-up titles the past two years.

Despite being ranked second behind Kentucky after the semifinals, the slate is wiped clean for UCF, which has won a pair of national championships (2003, 2007). Alabama rounds out the top three. Cincinnati, LSU, Minnesota, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Tennessee, Washington State and Western Kentucky are among the teams vying for the title.

Before competing for a national championship, UCF represents the United States in the World University Championship. The Knights, who have won two-straight titles, take the floor at 1:40 p.m. inside the J Center.

Fans that are unable to attend the competition, but would like to follow the action, Varsity is providing a live stream for $39.99 that includes all the events on Sunday. Click here for more details.
