With new Athletics Director Danny White and head football coach Scott Frost in the house, the UCF men's basketball team put on a show, scorching Illinois-Chicago 88-58. The Knights' second consecutive win improves them to 3-3 on the season.

The Knights jumped out to a big lead in the first half, outscoring the Flames 13-1 in the first six minutes of the game. Junior Justin McBride played a big role during that run, scoring six of his 14 points.

Defense kept UCF rolling as they extended their lead to 22 points by the end of the first half.

The pounding continued in the second half as the Knights held UIC to a field goal percentage of 31.4 and forced 16 turnovers. The Knights also blocked 13 shots on the night, which is tied for third most in UCF single-game history.

Senior Daiquan Walker charged the offense in the second half as he scored 17 of his 21 points in the final 20 minutes. At one point in the second half, Walker scored seven consecutive points for UCF, while also tallying the Knights' final six points with a pair of three pointers.

SWAT TEAM
- The Knights tallied 13 total blocks on the night, which is tied for third in UCF single-game history.
- Staphon Blair, Chad Brown and Tacko Fall each swatted three shots.
- A total of six players recorded at least one block on Saturday: Blair 3, Brown 3, Fall 3, AJ Davis 2, Tanksley Efianayi 1 and Justin McBride 1.

BENCH PLAYING BIG
- UCF's bench scored exactly half of the Knights' points (44).
- Walker led the way with a game-high 21 points, while McBride added 14.
- Matt Williams chipped in seven, and Efianayi tallied two points.

MC-STAT SHEET
- Chance McSpadden filled the stat sheet on Wednesday, scoring eight points, dishing out six assists and grabbing five steals.
- The freshman also went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.

NEXT UP
- The Knights remain at CFE Arena for their next game against UMass on Dec. 8. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
