The Hatters came out firing in the first half, holding an eight-point lead midway through the half, but Fall and McSpadden took it on themselves to erase the deficit and give UCF a 39-38 lead at halftime.
Fall tallied 12 points in the first half to match his single-game career high, while McSpadden scored nine points.
Fast second half starts have been a staple for the Knights this season, and Wednesday night was no different. UCF quickly extended their as redshirt sophomore A.J. Davis attacked the rim to score on two contested layups.
With 13 minutes remaining in the second, sophomore Adonys Henriquez took control of the game as he scored eight-straight points for the Knights extending their lead to 61-53. The Orlando, Florida, native drained a three pointer from the corner before laying the ball in on an immediate fast break. Henriquez connected again from behind the arc in UCF's next possession.
After transitioning the ball outside, UCF went back to old faithful in Fall. The 7-foot-6 center hammered home a pair of dunks and cashed in a free throw to extend the Knights' lead to 12 points with 8:31 left in the game.
Over the next five minutes, the Hatters clawed back with a 21-10 run to dwindle UCF's lead to just one point.
But the Knights rallied and fended off the Hatters one final time, driving and dishing to McSpadden for a pair of treys from downtown, extending the lead to 86-80.
UCF put the nail in the coffin, going 8-for-8 from the charity stripe in the last 30 seconds.
