The Knight got off to a slow start, shooting under 22 percent the first eight minutes of the first half. But UCF turned it on in the final three minutes of the half, going on an 11-0 run to take a 34-25 lead into the locker room.
In the second half, freshman Tacko Fall got things rolling on both ends of the court, grabbing six points and blocking three shots. Fall finished the game with eight points, six rebounds and six blocks.
After Fall extended the Knights' lead to 17 points at 13:58, A.J. Davis took over, tallying 13 of his team-high and career-high 21 points. The redshirt sophomore also pounded the boards, snatching a game-high and career-high 15 rebounds.
UCF's glaring advantage on the boards and in the paint proved to be too much for FAU, enabling the Knights to earn a 75-61 win.
