Tuesday's win marked the third straight year that the Knights (12-5-1) punched their ticket to the semifinals.

UCF got on the board early after Katarina Naumanen's cross intended for Kayla Adamek was kicked into the net for an own goal by Owls defender Kaylee Harner. Senior Ashley Spivey added an insurance goal before the break, which came in handy after Kelly Farrell scored in the 88th minute.

UCF clinched its sixth win in a row -- a season-best streak -- and nabbed its second win over the Owls this season.

Spivey Sense Strikes Again
? Ashley Spivey's goal in the 21st minute was her sixth game-winner of the year, bumping her up the program's single-season leaders and career leaders list.
? Rodrigues assisted the goal after Madison Barney's corner kick was headed around in the box and miss-cleared to Rodrigues. She headed it down to Spivey, who sent a low, fast ball to the left post for the score.
? Spivey now ties for second on the single-season leaders list (6) and needs one more to match the school record. As for her 10th career game-winner, that ties her for fifth.

History Lesson
? UCF earned a conference tournament win on Westcott Field for the first time since 2009. The Knights appeared in the 2006 and 2009 Conference USA Tournaments here in Dallas and now own a 2-2 record on Westcott Field during league tournaments.
? UCF improved its record in its series with Temple to 5-0. Tuesday's game marked the first time the two teams squared off in the postseason.
