Head coach Jeanette Bolden's squad is coming off of a seventh-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship two weeks ago. All five UCF scorers posted season-best performances in the 6K race, and sophomore Holly Wooley paced the team with a new personal best of 21:11.32.
The top two teams at the regional meet qualify for nationals along with the top four individuals whose team did not advance. Last year, the Knights finished a program best 14th place at the NCAA Sough Regional, highlighted by an NCAA qualifying performance from Anne-Marie Blaney, who is redshirting this season.
A total of 47 teams are set to compete this weekend with No. 17 Mississippi State and No. 27 Vanderbilt the favorites to grab the two NCAA Championship bids.
