Redshirt sophomore Holly Wooley paced the UCF cross country program to a seventh-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship in Grimesland, North Carolina, on Saturday morning. All five of the Knights' five scorers posted season-best times.

The Palm Bay, Florida, native crossed the finish line at 21:11.32 to grab 16th. Wooley, who ran a career best 6K time, was just two seconds off the runner in front of her, which would have earned her all-conference honors.

Classmates Kalleigh Forrester and Laura Korsmit cracked the top 40 in the 6k race with Forrester taking 33rd and Korsmit finishing 37th. Both clocked career best times with Forrester nearly taking a second off her previous best.

Rosie Chamberlain and Amy Ankli rounded out the Knights' five scorers. Chamberlain was 50th, while Ankli took 56th, respectively.

With the conference meet in the rearview mirror, UCF turns its focus to the NCAA South Regional Championship in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Nov. 13.
