ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After winning the tournament a year ago, UCF junior Ashley Holder finished tied for second Sunday, at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. The Knights finished 16th in team competition.

Holder finished the final round one-under par and just one shot back of Michigan State's Sarah Burnham who shot a tournament-low final-round 66 (-6) to claim medalist honors. Consistent as always, Holder carded a -4 (72-69-71=212) for the event and has been UCF's top finisher in each of its four events this season.

I know Ashley is disappointed not to win, UCF head coach Emily Marron said. but I was really proud of how she handled the pressure today. To back up last years performance with a runner up finish is fantastic.

Holder was ranked 28th in the country according to golfstat.com and is now tied for 21st among division I NCAA players.

In team play, UCF junior Johanna Larsson notched a final round of even par finishing +15 (231) for the tournament. Sophomore Laura Sojo was +18 (234) while junior Ayaka Nakayama shot +19 (235) and freshman Erica Stoner shot +23 (239).

Duke (-7) led wire-to-wire and took the team title by 11 shots over runner up Notre Dame (+2). Oklahoma State (+3) was third, Michigan State (+8) was fourth, and Alabama (+18) finished fifth.

The Knights will be back in action on February 1, when they open up the spring portion of the 2015-16 campaign at the Florida Challenge in Lecanto, Fla.
