ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF junior Ashley Holder rose 11 spots on the individual leaderboard at the Landfall Tradition Saturday. She is now tied for second, just four shots off the pace.
Holder notched 4 birdies and 13 pars in her second round effort. Her only mistake of the day was a bogey on the final hole.
I'm really proud of Ashley's performance, UCF head coach Emily Marron said. It's not easy to defend and she's handled it very well. She has great memories to draw from and this course sets up well for her. It should be an exciting finish and will come down to whoever can make the most putts tomorrow.
In team play, the Knights moved up one spot to 16th. Sophomore Laura Sojo shot a 76 (+4), junior Ayaka Nakayama, and freshman Erica Stoner each shot 81 (+9), while junior Johanna Larsson carded an 83 (+11).
Duke (-5) remains in front holding a 10 shot lead over Oklahoma State (+5). Alabama and Notre Dame are tied for third at +9.
Final round action is slated to begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Click here to follow the Knights via live scoring.
