ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After the opening round of the Landfall Tradition Wilmington, N.C., the UCF women's golf team is tied for 17th. Defending medalist, junior Ashley Holder is the tied for 13th among individuals.
Holder was two-under par at the turn after notching three birdies on the front nine. She dropped two shots on the back turning in an even-par 72 on the day.
Junior Johanna Larsson carded an opening round of 76 (+4) while junior Ayaka Nakayama, sophomore Laura Sojo, and freshman Erica Stoner each shot 80 (+8).
In team play, Duke took the early lead at -1 with Oklahoma State just two-shots back at +1. UNC Wilmington is third at +2.
