ATHENS, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF seniors Sofia Baptista and Caroline Eberhart found success in doubles play Friday afternoon at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championship at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

The doubles tandem opened the round of 32 with an 8-6 triumph over Florida Atlantic's Lyndsey Boos and Ana Guiterrz. The duo's next opponent is the No. 7 seed from Florida, Spencer Liang and Peggy Porter on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Eberhart and Baptista both faced a tough draw on Friday falling against the No. 13 seed Sinead Lohan and the No. 73 seed Wendy Zhang, both of Miami. The two now move to the consolation bracket.

The rest of the Knights are back in action on Oct. 30 at the Bethune-Cookman Tournament in Daytona Beach.
