HOUSTON, Texas (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF women's soccer team is gaining momentum at the right time. The Knights (10-5-1, 5-3 American) strung together their fourth win in a row with Sunday's 3-2 victory at Houston.

Senior midfielder Ashley Spivey's first multi-goal game of the year helped lift her team to a sweep of its Texas road games.

After early goals from Spivey and forward Kayla Adamek -- her second of the weekend -- the Cougars fired back with two goals in the final 15 minutes before the break to make it a brand new ball game for the second half.

The Knights came out ready to work and quickly regained their edge when sophomore defender Saga Fredriksson sent a laser toward the net in the 52nd minute. Spivey and Carol Rodrigues were at the foot of the goal line, and Spivey was able to clean up keeper Jordan Brown's deflection for her ninth goal of the year.

"The team has gained some confidence and momentum going into our last regular season game. We're always evaluating each performance and our goal is to continue to grow with each game," UCF head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak said. "Overall the team has done a great job of playing together and fighting for one another. We have great chemistry. We're really excited about playing South Florida and that's where our focus is going to be this coming week."

One for the Books
? Spivey made good on her fifth game-winner of the year to etch her name in the UCF record books among the program's single-season leaders.
? She is currently tied for sixth and has a chance to go after the record of seven, which was set by Kelly Kochever in 1991.
? Spivey also moved her way up the career leaders list. Although she has only played two seasons in a Black and Gold uniform, she has nine game-winners to her name, tying for eighth.

10-Win Season
? UCF recorded a double-digit win season for the 15th straight year.
? The Knights also picked up their 10th win in their series with Houston. UCF remains undefeated against the Cougars (10-0-1).

Up Next
? UCF returns home for Senior Knight in the final home game of the regular season.
? The Knights will host USF at 7 p.m. on Friday with post-game fireworks at Memory Mall for Homecoming weekend.
? With the U.S. Women's National Team in town for their Victory Tour, UCF will be giving away a pair of tickets at Friday's match to the World Cup Champions' game at the Citrus Bowl on Sunday against Brazil.
