VALENTINE, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) -- The Knights are in 10th place at the Jackrabbit Invitational after two rounds of play. Freshman Donnie Trosper led the way for UCF Sunday, firing a 1-under 71. Trosper is tied for 28th place heading into Monday's final round.

Trosper opened his round hole No. 10 and started with a bang. He carded an eagle 3 on the 609-yard Par 5 hole. A pair of bogeys on the remainder of the back nine left him even after nine holes. Trosper put together two birdies and one bogey over his last nine holes to finish 1-under for the day. He's 4-over for the tournament.

Junior Ryan Stovash turned in a level par round on Sunday. He birdied No. 15 and No. 7, while carding bogeys on Nos. 3 and 8. For the tournament, Stovash is 5-over and sits in a tie for 32nd place. Sophomore Juuso Kahlos was 5-over Sunday. His 8-over total has him in a tie for 38th place. Junior George Williams, who is tied for 44th, is 9-over after Sunday's round of 75. Sophomore Manuel Elvira, who is tied for 58th, has tallied back-to-back rounds of 79 to go 14-over after two rounds.

As a team, the Knights are two strokes behind American Athletic Conference foe UConn for ninth place. AAC squad USF leads the tournament at 6-under, while Michigan State is 1-under and five strokes off the pace. The Bulls and Spartans are the only two teams to go under par at the Prarie Club Dunes Course.

The third and final round is slated to begin Monday morning.
