GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF cross country team traveled to Gainesville to compete in the Mountain Dew Invitational Saturday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. Redshirt sophomore Holly Wooley led the Knights for the second straight weekend, placing 10th overall.

Wooley crossed the line in 18:19.15, just over 12 seconds faster than teammate Laura Korsmit. Korsmit placed 18th with a time of 18:31.80, which was faster than her five kilometer time on the Knights' home course last Saturday.

Kalleigh Forrester was the next UCF harrier to cross the line. The sophomore recorded a time of 19:08.54 to take 39th place. Senior Amy Ankli bested her time from the UCF Invitational by over a minute - coming in at 19:13.27 - to take 42nd overall.

Sophomore Ashton McMurray was the final point scorer for the Knights on Saturday. She recorded a time of 20:11.12 and placed 77th. Claire Castillo (81st), Tere Cooley (87th), Gabrielle Rayner (95th) and Talia Duzey (105th) also competed for UCF.

The Knights finished with 170 total points, placing sixth out 13 Division I teams in competition.

UCF will next compete on Sept. 25 at the FLRunners.com Invitational in Titusville.
