CHARLESTON, S.C. (UCFKnights.com) - The second round of the 2015 Powerade Cougar Classic was one the Knights would just as soon forget. The UCF women's golf team fell six spots Monday at Yeamans Hall Golf Club and is now tied for eighth.

Junior Ashley Holder remained a bright spot for the team when all the breaks seemed to go the other way. Holder, who is now tied for sixth among individuals, notched a 73 (+1), keeping her at two-under par for the tournament.

Juniors Johanna Larsson and Ayaka Nakayama turned in matching scores of 76 (+4) while sophomore Laura Sojo carded a 77 (+5). Senior Mary Mulcahy finished the day with a 79 (+7).

After collecting 14 combined birdies in the opening round, UCF managed only half as many in round two. The Knights also fell to the middle of the pack in scoring average on par 5's, a category they had led after day one.

In team competition, Arkansas extended its lead with four out of five scores coming in at par or better. The Razorbacks now enjoy a 10-shot advantage over the field going into Tuesday's final round.

Virginia (-1) was six-under par on day two, climbing four spots to second place. Florida and Georgia each moved up one spot and are tied for third (+1).

Tuesday will be moving day as the Knights look to battle back into the top five.

Final round action is slated for 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Click Here to follow the Knights via live scoring.
