AUGUSTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) - Sophomore Ryan Stovash led the way for the Knights in the first two rounds of the 3M Augusta Invitational Saturday.
Playing at Forest Hills Golf Club, Stovash carded back-to-back rounds of 71 (-1) to finish 2-under for the day. He is tied for 22nd place.
As a team, the Knights are tied for 11th against a very strong field.
UCF opened with a team score of 286 (-2), good enough to have them in seventh place after one round. But they carded a second-round total of 293 (+5), slipping back to a tie for 11th. For the tournament, UCF is 3-over par.
Linus Vaisanen shot a 2-under 70 in the first round and finished the day with a 1-over 73. Vaisanen is 1-under for the touranment and is tied for 30th. Manuel Elvira carded an even-par 72 in the first round and was 1-over in the second. He is currently tied for 44th. Federico Zucchetti (73-76-149 +5) is tied for 63rd. Jose Joia (78-78-156 +8) is currently in 75th place.
