NEW ORLEANS, La. (UCFKnights.com) - No. 15 UCF dropped its rubber match at Tulane, 10-0 in seven innings, on Sunday afternoon at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. The Knights had their opportunities to produce runs, but left nine runners on base.

UCF loaded the bases with one out in the top of the seventh inning, but was unable to push across a run. The Knights also left runners in scoring position in the first, second and fourth innings.

Tulane (25-15, 6-6 The American) struck for two runs on three hits and an error in the third inning to open the scoring. The Green Wave added single runs in the fourth and six innings before striking for six runs in the seventh frame to take the series.

Alex Massey (4-2) notched the victory with 6 1/3 innings of work and five strikeouts, while Jordan Gross and Ian Gibaut each recorded an out in the shutout. Stephen Alamais tallied three hits and drove in a pair to pace Tulane.

The Knights return home on April 22 at 6:30 p.m. to host North Florida in the final Dollar Dog Knight of the season. Single-game tickets for the 2015 baseball season are currently on sale by clicking here or calling 407-823-1000.
