WALNUT, Calif. (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF track and field team continued competition at the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday, including Devinn Cartwright, who ran a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles.
Cartwright placed 11th in the collegiate 400 meter hurdles invite. The senior ran a personal best 58.74 seconds, which is the fastest time in the American Athletic Conference this season. It is also the 13th best performance in the East Region so far in 2015.
Teammate Sandy Jean also competed in the event, running 1:01.60 to place 15th overall.
The Knights' 4x100 meter relay team took sixth place in the collegiate invite, crossing the line in 44.69 seconds to win the section. The team was made up of Briana Vaughn, Christal Peterson, J'Nea Bellamy and Kirsten Nieuwendam.
UCF will continue competition next weekend at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville.
