LAKE WORTH, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) -- Only one team was under par as play concluded on the first day of the FAU Slomin Autism Invite Friday. The Knights currently sit in first place after turning in a round of 5-under par, completing their round, while four of the 20 teams were unable to finish their rounds due to weather conditions.

Connecticut, which was still on the course when play was suspended, is currently in second place at 2-over.

UCF was paced by sophomores Ryan Stovash and Federico Zucchetti. That duo is currently tied for second place and is just three strokes off the pace. Both Stovash and Zucchetti turned in rounds of 3-under Friday. Stovash was 1-under after the front nine, but tallied four birdies and a double bogey after the turn. Zucchetti was on fire early, tallying four birdies on the front nine. He suffered a pair of bogeys and turned in one birdie on the back.

Senior Linus Vaisanen was also under par for the Knights. He was 1-under for the round and is tied for fifth place. Manuel Elvira's 2-over score of 73 puts him in a tie for 32nd place and rounded out UCF's team scoring for the day. Jose Joia was 3-over and is tied for 44th.

The end of the first round and beginning of the second will take place Saturday morning at the Fountains Country Club North Course. Live scoring is available by clicking here.
