UCF Wraps Up Play at SunTrust Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The Knights finished 12th at the SunTrust Gator Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course on campus at the University of Florida.

South Florida took the team title at 5-under, while Arkansas and Florida State rounded out the top three in the 14-team event.

Freshman Manuel Elvira was the top golfer the Knights. He finished in a tie for 27th with a three-round score of 218 (+8). Sophomore Ryan Stovash was 17-over to finish tied for 56th.

Senior Jose Joia and freshman Juuso Kahlos each carded 19-over three-round totals, tying for 62nd place. Federico Zucchetti was 74th (+29).

The Knights are back in action again Feb. 28-March 1 at the John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
