FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team finished up competition at the Tyson Invitational Saturday, and junior Anne-Marie Blaney highlighted the day with a win and another broken record.

Having already broken her own school records in the one mile run and the 3,000 meters earlier this season, Blaney entered the 5,000 meters for the first time in 2015 this weekend. She again broke her record set back in 2013 and won the event in a time of 16:32.62.

J'Nea Bellamy also impressed in the 200 meter dash, running a personal best 23.86, topping her previous fastest time of 24.18 seconds set in January of last season. Bellamy placed 22nd overall, while Briana Vaughn and Kirsten Nieuwendam took 43rd and 55th in 24.31 and 24.51, respectively.

A trio of Knights competed in the 3,000 meters on Saturday, led by Laura Korsmit, who placed 28th in 10:15.25. She was followed by Kalleigh Forrester. The freshman took 31st in a personal best time of 10:20.66. Claire Castillo crossed the line in 11:01.57.

The team of Rosie Chamberlain, Devinn Cartwright, Carolina Pauls and Amelia Williams placed sixth in the Distance Medley Relay in a time of 11:57.75.

Allison Lampert and Tara Daniels made up UCF's field contingent on Saturday. The former placed 16th in the high jump with a mark of 1.67 meters, while the latter recorded a distance of 13.39 meters to take 27th in the shot put.

The Knights will be back in action at the end of the month when UCF competes in the American Athletic Conference Championships. The meet is scheduled for Feb. 27-28 in New York, N.Y.
