NEW YORK (UCFKnights.com) - A pair of Knights set new records as the UCF track and field team completed competition at The Armory Track Invitational Saturday.

Anne-Marie Blaney placed 10th in the 3,000 meter run, breaking her own school record for the second time this season. She crossed the line in 9:37.29, just .04 faster than her record time set last weekend at the Joe Donahue Games.

Rosie Chamberlain ran more than three seconds faster than her previous best in the 800 meter run on Saturday, finishing in 2:11.26. She placed 14th in the event and broke the UCF freshman record of 2:14.06. Katrina Skinner held the record, set back in 2009.

Laura Korsmit and Caroline Pauls also put forth solid performances in the 3,000 and 800, respectively. Korsmit placed 35th in a personal best time of 10:06.89, while Pauls took 19th with a time of 2:13.28.

Amelia Williams led a trio of Knights in the Mile, running a season best 5:07.18 to place 19th. Kalleigh Forrester was 34th in 5:17.25 and Claire Castillo took 36th in 5:19.40.

The Knights' 4x400 meter relay team of Kirsten Nieuwendam, Ashley Jocelyn, Terika Henry and Sandy Jean placed seventh on Saturday, running a time of 3:46.09.

Kalen Hambrick and Tara Daniels placed seventh and 22nd in the weight throw, respectively. Hambrick recorded a distance of 18.42 meters, while Daniels threw a personal best 15.77 meters.

A quartet of sprinters rounded out UCF's Saturday results. J'Nea Bellamy placed 10th in the 200 meter dash, crossing the line in 24.61 seconds. Briana Vaughn was 16th in 24.72, Nieuwendam took 20th in 24.87, and Cessily Jones placed 22nd in 24.96 seconds.

The Knights will next be in competition at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. Feb. 13-14.
