ROXBURY, Mass. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team won six events and recorded 15 top-five performances en route to an overall team victory at the Joe Donahue Games Friday.

The Knights totaled 129.5 points, topping runner-up Brown's 106.5 and third-place Holy Cross's 104.5. New Hampshire (72) and Northeastern (68.83) rounded out the top five in the nine team field.

Kirsten Nieuwendam won two individual events and was a member of the Knights' winning relay team. She tied her personal record winning the 60 meter dash in 7.48 seconds. Nieuwendam then won the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.47.

She capped off the day as a part of the UCF 4x400 meter relay team that also took home first place. Nieuwendam was joined by J'Nea Bellamy, Terika Henry and Christal Peterson to record a winning time of 3:50.86.

The Knights' dominated the sprints, scoring 59 of their 129.5 points in the 60 and 200 meter events alone. Bellamy placed third in the 60 with a time of 7.51 seconds, while Peterson was fourth in 7.60 seconds.

The entire top five was UCF's in the 200 meters. Following Nieuwendam was Bellamy in 24.73 seconds. Peterson was third in 24.92, Cessily Jones was fourth in 25.16 and Henry placed fifth in 25.18.

The reigning American Athletic Conference track athlete of the week Anne-Marie Blaney set another new school record on Friday. She broke her own 3,000 meter record, winning the event in a time of 9:37.33.

Caroline Pauls and Amelia Williams set new personal records in the 800 and 1,000 meter run, respectively. Pauls placed second in a time of 2:13.15, while Williams was third in 1,000, crossing the line in 2:57.73.

Allison Lampert won the high jump for the Knights, broke the meet record and recorded a new personal best in the event with a mark of 1.75 meters. Kalen Hambrick picked up a first place for the Knights in her first competition of the season, winning the weight throw with a distance of 17.96 meters. Tara Daniels' throw of 13.25 meters in the shot put placed the freshman second in the event.

The Knights will next compete at the New Balance Invitational in New York, N.Y. Jan. 30 and Jan. 31.
