Terre Haute, Ind. (UCFKnights.com) - After becoming the first runner in school history to qualify for nationals, junior Anne-Marie Blaney competed at this year's NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championship Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. She finished 108th out of 235 competitors.

Blaney had a solid race for her first time competing at nationals, finishing the six kilometer course in a time of 21:15.1. She was the third runner from the American Athletic Conference to cross the finish line.

Blaney qualified for nationals after placing fourth (19:39.9) at the Regional meet, as she became the first Knight to race at nationals. She broke the six kilometer school record with that accomplishment, and now holds both the 5K and 6K record.

The Knights will next be back on the UCF cross country course on New Year's Eve with the UCF Holiday Fun Run.
