JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Arjun Watane defeated a pair of opponents to win the White flight at the Bedford Cup on Sunday.

Watane defeated FAMU's Karlyn Small, 6-3, 6-3, in his first match of the day. In the flight championship, he defeated Miami's Nile Clark, 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. He went undefeated in singles action in the opening tournament, tallying a total of four victories over the weekend.

Sophomore Inaki Espindola also earned a singles victory on Sunday, defeating Bethune-Cookman's Alexander Chepik, 6-4, 6-4.Sophomore Reece Acree was defeated by Miami's Andrew Harrington, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, in the White Flight Quarterfinals.

UCF returns to action with the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational, hosted by Rollins College, beginning Oct. 3.
